The ex-director of the KhMAO sports department, Sergei Artamonov, is trying to save his career in a confrontation with the district prosecutor’s office, which demanded that the employment record be changed and the official fired under the article “loss of trust.” He lost the trial, but is now trying to challenge the decision of the first instance. Otherwise, the official will have to resign from his new job at the mayor’s office of the Surgut region, because he will end up on the blacklist of civil servants, a URA.RU source in the political establishment reports.

The prosecutor’s office of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug filed a lawsuit against Artamonov and demanded that the entry in his employment record be changed and the official dismissed under the article “loss of trust.” Artamonov is now trying to challenge this decision on appeal. Otherwise, he will have to quit his new job at the Surgutsky mayor’s office, because he will be on the blacklist of civil servants who are not allowed to work in government,” says the insider.

Information about Artamonov’s partial appeal of the case appeared on the court’s website. The official resigned from the Yugra government of his own free will after a loud scandal – he employed his wife at the subordinate hotel “On Seven Hills”. After resigning, he headed the department of physical education, sports and tourism in the Surgut region.

Artamonov did not answer the agency’s journalist’s call. The prosecutor’s office promised to reveal details later.

Earlier, URA.RU wrote that Artamonov went to work at the mayor’s office of the Surgut region. According to rumors, the head of the municipality, Andrei Trubetskoy, agreed to meet the disgraced official so that he could work until he reached his northern pension.
