
The ex-chief physician of the Kholm Central Regional Hospital (CRH), which is located in the south of Sakhalin, is accused of causing 61 million rubles in damage to the region. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Sakhalin region.
“The actions of the accused were qualified by the investigative body under paragraph “c” of Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (exceeding official powers). For committing this crime, the maximum penalty is imprisonment for up to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 3 years,” the press service of the supervisory authority reports to TASS.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the head physician purchased a building that was obviously unsuitable for use for the Kholm Central District Hospital. After the purchase, the object was dismantled, the damage amounted to 61 million rubles.
Earlier, on October 27, the court of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk found the former vice-governor of the Sakhalin region Dmitry Fedechkin guilty of embezzlement. His accomplices received suspended sentences, and the extraordinary Ural PR specialist and journalist will have to spend five years in a general regime colony.
