The euro exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange rose above 63 rubles for the first time since August 1. Site data testify to this.

As of 16:54 Moscow time, the rate of the European currency rose by 0.41 percent to 63.01 rubles. At the same time, by 17:02, growth slowed down to 0.16 percent and stood at the level of 62.85 rubles.

The exchange rate of the US dollar in the course of trading as of the same time slightly increased – by 0.07 percent – to 60.70 rubles.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin’s decree was published on the Kremlin’s website, according to which, in particular, banks, in the event of falling under sanctions, received the right not to conduct transactions in the currency of unfriendly countries credited to the accounts of legal entities from August 8, if this is actually impossible. The Central Bank later clarified this document.
