The Editor-in-Chief of The Insider Dobrokhotov arrested in absentia in Moscow


    Roman Dobrokhotov (recognized as a foreign agent), editor-in-chief of The Insider (recognized as a foreign agent and undesirable organization by the media), was arrested in absentia by the Lefortovo Court of Moscow in the case of illegal border crossing. Last week, a protocol was also drawn up against the journalist to discredit the Russian army.

    “By the decision of the Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow dated August 4, 2022 in relation to Roman Alexandrovich Dobrokhotov, accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (crossing the border of the Russian Federation without the appropriate right or documents.— “b”), a measure of restraint was chosen in the form of detention for a period of two months from the moment he crossed the state border of the Russian Federation, ”RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the court.

    Roman Dobrokhotov was put on the wanted list in September 2021; earlier, a criminal case was also opened against him for illegally crossing the border. According to the journalist himself, he crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border on July 31, 2021.
