On the Tyumen-Omsk federal highway, the driver of a Nissan minibus drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a MAN heavy truck. According to information from the regional traffic police department for the Tyumen region on social networks, the driver of the minivan and his son died.
“Around midnight, on the 328th kilometer of the Tyumen-Omsk highway, a Nissan minibus and a MAN heavy truck collided. Previously, the minibus drove into the oncoming lane. A 63-year-old minibus driver and his 42-year-old son died in an accident,” the department’s Telegram channel reported.
Police officers, doctors and rescuers are working at the scene of the accident. All the circumstances of the incident are currently being clarified.
Earlier in the Tyumen region, a 74-year-old motorcycle driver with a sidecar died on the highway between Tyumen and Nizhny Tavda. The pensioner drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Skoda car.
