The driver and three passengers died in an accident in the Arkhangelsk region

Kargapol district, March 20, 2023, 03:07 — REGNUM A Hyundai car and a DAF truck collided in the Kargapolsky district of the Arkhangelsk region. The accident claimed the lives of four people, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region reported.

The accident occurred on the evening of March 19 near the village of Letneozersky through the fault of a truck driver who drove into the oncoming lane. Two children and two adults from the car died on the spot. Only a six-year-old girl survived, she was hospitalized with severe injuries.

Investigators and law enforcement officers are working at the scene of the accident.

“The issue of initiating a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of the rules of the road and the operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence” is being resolved.“, – noted in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
