The defense of the Bryansk region will be strengthened by units of the combat forces of the army

Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces General of the Army Oleg Salyukov visited the regions of the Bryansk region bordering Ukraine, a decision was made to strengthen the protection of the region with firearms and units of the military forces of the army. This was announced today, March 14, by Governor Alexander Bogomaz.

“With the Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces, General of the Army Oleg Leonidovich Salyukov, we visited the border areas. We discussed with the commander-in-chief the issues of additional strengthening of the territory of the Bryansk region with fire weapons and units of the army’s combat forces,” — he wrote in the telegram channel.

The head of the region assured that all measures to strengthen the grouping of ground forces in the territory of the Bryansk region would be completed as soon as possible.

Bogomaz noted that General Salyukov personally inspected the defense structures erected in the region, got acquainted with the conditions created for military personnel to guard and protect the state border and the civilian population.

“Ensuring the safety of the inhabitants of the Bryansk region is under the special control of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation”, he added.
