The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow sentenced lawyer Mikhail Tsivin and notary Dmitry Bubliy to five years in a penal colony in the case of embezzlement of the property of the family of actor Alexei Batalov. Another defendant in the case, 74-year-old actress Natalya Drozhzhina, was given a four-year suspended sentence. This was reported press office TFR.
Mikhail Tsivin and Natalya Drozhzhina were found guilty of fraud on an especially large scale committed by a group of persons by prior agreement (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), Bubliy – of abuse of power and complicity in fraud (Article 202 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The court also exacted from them 600 thousand rubles each. from three convicts as compensation for non-pecuniary damage in favor of Alexei Batalov’s daughter Maria and her mother. Dmitry Bubliy was deprived of the right to provide notarial services.
According to the investigation, the spouses Mikhail Tsivin and Natalya Drozhzhina organized a scam, gaining confidence in the widow of Alexei Batalov and his daughter under the pretext of support. They helped the family for several years, after which, with the help of a power of attorney, they withdrew more than 20 million rubles from the family’s accounts.
According to investigators, notary Dmitry Bubliy prepared contracts for life maintenance with dependents. On their basis, the shares belonging to Maria Batalova in two apartments and non-residential premises passed to the spouses.
The prosecutor’s office asked for seven years in prison for Mikhail Tsivin and a fine of 400 thousand rubles, for Natalia Drozhzhina – six years in prison with a fine of 200 thousand rubles, for Dmitry Bubliy – five years in prison and a fine of 300 thousand rubles. ,
