The authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic will decide on the form of education – full-time or remote – in universities and schools in the region by September 1. This was stated by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin during a meeting with the Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov.
“As regards the form of education in the new [учебном] year. For all of us, for all schoolchildren and students, the most preferred form of education is full-time. But the final decision will be made before September 1st. It depends on the situation and security.” emphasized the head of the republic.
It should be noted that on August 8, Pushilin met with a delegation from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation headed by Kravtsov, at which issues of cooperation between the DPR and Russia in the educational field were discussed. As Kravtsov said, the issue with textbooks in the schools of the republic has already been resolved – they will be delivered by September 1. The retraining of teachers also continues, repairs are underway in schools and kindergartens. According to the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR, Olga Koludarova, by September 1, schoolchildren of the republic will be ready to accept 569 educational institutions and 27 boarding schools.
“By the beginning of the school year, we plan to open 577 kindergartens, as well as 60 SPO organizations,” added Koludarova.
