Scientists from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology followed 34,000 patients for 14 years. During it, they found out why some subjects fell asleep better than others.

The results of their research were published by the Daily Mail. According to the portal, 5.8 thousand people out of 34 thousand received prescription sleeping pills. Others fell asleep on their own without any problems. The reason for this was physical activity.

The best results were observed in subjects involved in running or weightlifting. Based on this, scientists concluded that sports have a beneficial effect on sleep.

Earlier, dietitian Oksana Mikhaleva named a drink that can provoke insomnia. According to her, it is cocoa.
