A US-owned ship was attacked for the second time in a day off the coast of Yemen.

19 Feb — A US-owned Greek-flagged merchant ship was attacked for the second time in 24 hours near the Yemeni port of Aden, the agency reported. Reuters with reference to the British maritime security company Ambrey.
According to the agency, the shell fell into the water 10-15 meters from the starboard side of the ship.
The first attack on a bulk carrier 100 nautical miles east of Aden was announced on Monday afternoon by the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) of the kingdom’s navy. There were no reports of damage or casualties among the crew.
The Houthis, who control much of Yemen’s Red Sea coast, began attacking Israeli-linked ships and then American and British warships as the Middle East conflict escalated. Because of this, maritime transport through the Suez Canal has sharply decreased.
The Ansar Allah movement stated that in this way they were helping the Palestinians, and their actions did not interfere with freedom of navigation in the Red Sea. Arab and Muslim countries have repeatedly warned Washington that unconditional support for Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip will lead to the spread of the conflict throughout the region.
In response, the United States and Great Britain began striking Houthi targets in mid-January. A member of Ansar Allah’s highest political council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, called the attacks a terrorist barbarity, a deliberate and unjustified aggression.
