The court stopped the process of Gazprombank’s claim against the holding of the Chelyabinsk oligarch

The court terminated the trial of Gazprombank’s claim against the Mechel holding of Chelyabinsk oligarch Igor Zyuzin. This follows from the file of arbitration cases.

“Decree on termination of proceedings in the case. The case is being considered in a closed court session,” noted on the website of the Moscow Arbitration Court.

The fact that the parties decided to make peace became known at the end of September. According to the signed settlement agreement, the holding received a two-year installment plan on the debt in the amount of 11.9 billion rubles. The debt will be converted into rubles, and part of the obligations will be forgiven.

The court of the Chelyabinsk region continues to consider the case regarding the recognition of the obligated party and the foreclosure of the building of the ChMK plant management, which is a co-defendant in the claim. The next meeting is scheduled for December.

Gazprombank filed a lawsuit because it financed a loan issued by the French conglomerate BNP Paribas SA. The tranche was sent to ChMK, and Mechel acted as the guarantor. In July, the defendants lost the dispute, but filed an appeal.
