
The court sentenced the former head of the Volgograd SUSK to 20 years in prison Mikhail Muzraev in the case of the assassination attempt on the governor.
The relevant information was made public on Wednesday, March 22. The journalist told RIA News from the courtroom. Recall that the trial on Muzraev’s charges lasted about two years – a preliminary hearing took place on July 6, 2021. Even the COVID-19 pandemic did not affect the process.
βOn the basis of the totality of crimes, by partial addition of punishments, appoint Muzraev 20 years in prison with a sentence to be served in a strict regime colony,β the judge said.
It was previously reported that Murzaev was detained in June 2019 and charged under three articles of the Russian Criminal Code. He has not yet pleaded guilty.
