The court for two months arrested the accused of arson of a hostel in Moscow

The Presnensky District Court, at the request of the investigation, arrested Yury Khomchenko until April 22 in a criminal case on the death of people as a result of a fire in a hostel in the center of Moscow. This was reported press office Metropolitan Investigative Committee.

Yuri Khomchenko was charged with the murder of two or more people (part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The man does not admit guilt.

A fire in a 16-storey building on Mezhdunarodnaya Street in Moscow occurred on February 21. As a result of the arson, 7 people died, including 2 children, 15 were injured. The investigation claims that the man set fire to the hostel because of hostility towards the tenants. On February 22, 59-year-old Yuri Khomchenko was detained.
