The court dismissed another criminal case against the former head of VSMPO-Avisma Voevodin

The Verkhnesaldinsky District Court of the Sverdlovsk Region terminated the criminal case against the former general director of VSMPO-Avisma Mikhail Voevodin and the ex-director of legal affairs of the corporation Artem Kislichenko, imposing fines on them. They were accused of abuse of power (part 1 of article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), Artem Kislichenko was also accused of complicity (part 5 of article 33). Judgment on defense motion accepted May 25, reported on May 26.

The Oktagon publication previously reported that Miail Voevodin and Artem Kislichenko tried to hold accountable for violations in the purchase of titanium ore concentrate. According to the investigation, in 2019, the defendants purchased goods at an inflated price from the Singaporean company Minerals and Metals Group, although the concentrate was supplied to the enterprise by the former Kazakhstani partner of VSMPO-Avisma.

As a result of these actions, the company suffered damage in the amount of more than 43.6 million rubles. “The court found that the property damage indicated in the charge was compensated for the enterprise, each of the defendants sent written apologies to the victim, and charitable assistance was provided to an educational institution in the city of Verkhnyaya Salda,” the court said in a statement.

He decided to close the criminal case against the defendants. “A measure of a criminal law nature in the form of a judicial fine was imposed, namely: Voevodin M.V. in the amount of 90 thousand rubles, and Kislichenko A.V. – 70 thousand rubles,” the court reports. The decision has not yet entered into force.

In 2021, the Verkhnyaya Salda City Court dismissed the criminal case against Mikhail Voevodin on charges of abuse of power for making unprofitable transactions for the sale of titanium chips.
