
The Hanadae festival of Korean culture was held in Tyumen. The opening ceremony was attended by the Consul General of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Russia, Mr. Park Ho.
“I am sincerely glad that the K-pop festival took place in Tyumen. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1990, the Republic of Korea and Russia have developed bilateral cooperation in all areas, including politics, economics, science and culture,” said Mr. Park Ho in his welcoming speech, reports Tyumen Region Today. The Consul General expressed hope that the festival will help the cultures of Russia and Korea become closer and overcome ethnic barriers.
The Hanadae Festival celebrates Korean culture and dance competition. The event took place in Tyumen on September 23. Out of 150 applications, only 36 contestants were selected. Among them are teams from the Urals Federal District, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
