The confiscated share of Rotenberg in the shopping and entertainment center of Kyiv was transferred to the State Property Fund of Ukraine

The share of the confiscated assets of Arkady Rotenberg in the Kiev shopping center Ocean Plaza was transferred to the management of the State Property Fund. The corresponding decision was made by the government of Ukraine, said First Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.

“We are transferring to the State Property Fund (SPFU) a share … of the Rotenberg oligarchs in the Ocean Plaza shopping center. The asset will subsequently be put up for sale, the funds will be used for restoration, ”Ms. Sviridenko is quoted in a press release from the department.

66.65% of the shares of LLC “Investment Union “Lybid”” and 100% in LLC “Avangard-Vilarti”, which own the ownership rights to the Ocean Plaza shopping center, were transferred to the management of the State Property Fund. The government instructed the fund to take measures to privatize the listed assets and transfer the proceeds to the state budget.

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine ruled on a lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Justice against Arkady Rotenberg, Igor Rotenberg, Oleksandr Skorobogatok and Oleksandr Ponomarenko in March. All four businessmen are under sanctions. The Security Service of Ukraine estimated the value of the seized assets at $300 million.
