Journalist Hersh: if Ukraine is defeated, the US will intervene in the conflict
US authorities are exploring options for direct intervention in the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by the American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, his words were quoted by TASS.
“Does the US really want to confront Russia? I don’t think we are ready. Still, the Russian side has not yet used its main forces,” he said.
According to Hersh, the United States will hide behind the fact that it was not they who entered Ukraine, but NATO forces.
“However, it is necessary to remember the defeat of the Nazis by the Soviet troops near Stalingrad. It seems to me that the United States is not ready for this, ”the journalist added.
State Duma Deputy Yuri Shvytkin said that the United States has several scenarios for the development of the conflict in Ukraine. However, the main one, the parliamentarian is sure, is the destruction of Russia.
Russian Ambassador to Washington Yuri Antonov said that the country is not interested in confrontation with the United States.
