FSB detained Chelyabinsk City Duma deputy Ivanov
The company “Grandaktiv”, owned by the wife of Oleg Ivanov, a deputy of the Chelyabinsk City Duma who was detained by the FSB and is in a pre-trial detention center, is being demanded to be declared bankrupt. The application was submitted to the regional arbitration by the tax authorities. Ivanov’s wife, ex-deputy of the regional legislative assembly Tatyana Zavgorodnyaya, was also arrested.
“Accept for processing the application of the Federal Tax Service to declare GrandActive LLC insolvent (bankrupt). Schedule a court hearing to verify the validity of the application,” says the ruling of the Arbitration Court of the Chelyabinsk Region (available at URA.RU).
As follows from the case materials, tax officials believe that the company underpaid more than 1.5 million rubles to the budget. “Grandaktiv” specializes in providing services in the field of accounting, financial audit and tax consulting. Transactions on the company’s accounts were frozen at the beginning of the year at the request of the Federal Tax Service.
Ivanov was detained in December 2022 on charges of tax fraud and illegal circulation of funds, and on September 14, 2023 he was declared bankrupt. The court made a similar decision regarding the AlfaStroy company owned by Ivanov. Tax officials managed to recover 825.6 million rubles from the deputy, a decision which he challenged. In November, the debt to the Federal Tax Service increased by another 560 thousand rubles.
Zavgorodnyaya is also under arrest, but under house arrest. She is accused of complicity in her husband’s crimes.
