Russian special operation in Ukraine
Ukrainian units near Kleshcheevka suffer heavy losses while trying to take a settlement near Artemovsk (Bakhmut). This was stated by the deputy commander of the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces, commander of the Akhmat special forces Apty Alaudinov.
“The enemy is trying to push every day, to break through a sector in our line of defense in Kleshcheevka. At the moment, nothing is working out for him, so far, in fact, he is suffering huge losses, so the line of contact remains stable,” said Apty Alaudinov, his words are reported by RIA Novosti.
Alaudinov admitted that Ukraine was still able to take several heights in Kleshcheevka. However, we are not talking about complete surrender of the point. The Russian army continues to control the remaining heights, which is a nuisance for Kyiv. Previously, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated that Kleshcheevka was under the complete control of Kyiv, which was denied by Russian military officers.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to drive the Russian army out of Kleshcheevka, but they are not succeeding. On September 18, the Ministry of Defense reported on a successful repelled attack on a populated area. According to the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, he stated that the situation in this region remains hot, reports RT.
