Pakachi police chief Andrei Beglaryan was detained by FSB officers. He is charged with selling material evidence from criminal cases, a source from the district’s law enforcement agencies told URA.RU.

“He is suspected of selling evidence from criminal cases that were investigated by his subordinates. Beglaryan, through dummies, may be involved in the sale of more than 70 tons of pipes, which were seized by the police as evidence from oil workers. The damage amounted to more than one million rubles. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against him,” the insider said.

For clarification, the agency’s journalist contacted the investigative department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. They confirmed information about the criminal proceedings against the chief of police Pokachi, but did not voice the details, citing the secrecy of the investigation.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that the Investigative Committee was checking the chief of police of the Nefteyugansk district, Alexey Pirkoa. The reason was a corruption scandal with the purchase of a jeep.
