The Ust-Katav Carriage Works (UKVZ, part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) will supply a large batch of low-floor trams from the Chelyabinsk region to Yaroslavl. The company’s press service reported this on its telegram channel.
“The Roscosmos enterprise entered into a contract for the supply of 47 new completely low-floor single-section tram cars with the concessionaire Movista Regions Yaroslavl LLC. The first tram will appear in the capital of the Golden Ring before the end of 2023,” the UKVZ press service clarified.
Under the terms of the agreement, the cars will be delivered to Yaroslavl in 2023-2025. The new trams are equipped with climate control, media panels, validators for cashless payments and USB connectors for charging gadgets.
