There are no exit restrictions on the border of the Chelyabinsk region and Kazakhstan, according to the border department of the FSB of Russia in the region. The press service of the government of the region URA.RU clarified that only those who are subject to conscription can be detained.
“In the Chelyabinsk region, there is a cluster of people who want to leave for Kazakhstan, but there are no restrictions on leaving, everyone goes in order of priority and crosses the border,” RIA Novosti reports with reference to the border department.
The government of the Chelyabinsk region reported to URA.RU that the border guards were given lists of persons subject to conscription. If a person ends up at the border, he is stopped before the arrival of a military registration and enlistment office employee to serve the summons. The city of residence in the Chelyabinsk region does not matter.
Earlier, residents of the Chelyabinsk region told URA.RU that they were stuck in a traffic jam in front of the border with Kazakhstan for 10 hours. Border guards pass two or three cars per hour.
