In Chelyabinsk, the chairman of the Okatov and Partners Bar Association of the Moscow Bar Association, Alexey Okatov, was detained. According to URA.RU, he is accused of fraud.
“Okatov was detained on November 28, when he arrived from Moscow to Chelyabinsk. He has an apartment here. Soon a preventive measure should be chosen for him,” the source said.
According to URA.RU, Okatov is charged with a crime committed in 2013. At that time, he acted as a bankruptcy trustee for a number of bankrupt companies. It was then, according to investigators, that he leased several forklifts. However, he never paid the money.
Before moving to Moscow, Okatov was a member of the Chelyabinsk Region Bar Association. He was one of the founders of the Bar Association (BA) “Pravo”. But he was expelled from the ward. And in 2021 he left the founders of the spacecraft. After moving to Moscow, Okatov received the status of a lawyer there, opening his own bureau, Okatov and Partners. URA.RU tried to contact the board. They didn’t answer the call there.
URA.RU contacted the press service of the Investigative Committee for the region. They reported that on November 29 a preventive measure should be chosen for him.
