“The inclusion of provisions in existing agreements on bank accounts and deposits that provide for a unilateral increase or the establishment of remuneration for transactions violates the rights of consumers,” the regulator said in a statement published on the official website.

At the same time, the absence of objections from him is considered as the consent of the client, the regulator notes that this cannot be recognized as an offer.

Earlier, Tinkoff Bank announced the introduction of a commission for servicing foreign currency accounts in US dollars, euros, pounds sterling and Swiss francs. The commission will be 1% per day. Similar measures were taken by Raiffeisenbank, vice-president of the Golden Mint House, analyst Alexei Vyazovsky, said that customers should sue banks, since they did not have the right to introduce a foreign exchange commission. The Bank of Russia intends to check the legality of introducing a foreign exchange commission in banks and, if necessary, take supervisory measures.
