The Cabinet of Ministers has created a federal state unitary enterprise that will unite the railways of new regions of the Russian Federation

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the creation of the federal state unitary enterprise “Railways of Novorossiya”, which will unite the railways of the republics of Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. About it informs press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.

“The solution will make it possible to build a unified logistics in these four regions, update the fleet of wagons and locomotives, and also create a unified system for managing the transportation process,” indicated in the message.

Employees of such enterprises as Donetsk Railways, Lugansk Railways, Kherson Railways, Melitopol Railways and Donbass Railways will be able to find employment and transfer to a new organization. It is indicated that the Federal State Unitary Enterprise will be under the jurisdiction of Roszheldor, its head office will be located in Donetsk.
