The Bundestag urged to certify and launch Nord Stream 2 as soon as possible

Germany should use Nord Stream 2 to import Russian gas, as the country is in dire need of fuel supplies. About it said TASS, the head of the Bundestag committee on energy and climate issues, Klaus Ernst, recalled that the gas pipeline was completed, but not yet certified.

“In general, it doesn’t matter which pipeline gas is delivered to Germany, it remains Russian anyway. In this sense, the issue of Nord Stream 2 is rather symbolic,” he explained.

According to him, in the absence of other options, this would be a good solution and it would be good to start the process of certification and commissioning of the pipeline, and not look for excuses instead of using it.
