Koschey was an alternative. Some respected people believed that he would be able to resolve conflicts between factions that began after the death of Zyatok. But in the fall, Koschei announced that he was refusing the offer,” the source said.

According to the source, Koshchei was forced to renounce his claims to the “supervisor.” The reason was his entrepreneurial background. Before his arrest, he was engaged in business. “The main reason for the disagreements between the groups began after businessmen began to get involved in the criminal world of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. Many authorities from the district did not want to do business with people who put profit at the forefront. The locals were afraid that Koschey would also put everything on a commercial footing, having rich entrepreneurial experience behind him. So they advised him not to get involved in the fight for the position of the “in-charge,” the interlocutor added.
