The authorities want to hold a festival for the 300th anniversary of Perm every year

The governor of the Perm region, Dmitry Makhonin, said that the authorities are working to make the “City of Meetings” festival, which took place in the summer as part of the 300th anniversary of Perm, an annual event. He announced this during a live broadcast on the VKontakte social network.

“We are analyzing how the festivals took place as part of the 300th anniversary of Perm. First of all, “City of Meetings”. We see that the reviews are very good. We are working on the issue of moving some of the events from the festival to next year and making it traditional. We will tell you more about these decisions in the near future,” Makhonin noted.

He added that after the 300th anniversary, “activities in the city will not end.” But these will not be meaningless “partying”, but events aimed at developing patriotism, sports, and education. “In these difficult times, people need a holiday,” Makhonin noted.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that the director of the City of Meetings festival in 2023 was Ilya Averbukh. He organized a show where extreme sports enthusiasts from different countries performed to the accompaniment of pianist Denis Matsuev.
