Access to the Zaporozhye NPP for the IAEA mission will be provided as soon as the delegation announces the arrival time. This statement was made by an official of the local administration, Vladimir Rogov.

A member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region commented on the words of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi. He previously announced his readiness to lead a mission of experts on safety, protection and safeguards at nuclear power plants.

The CAA of Zaporozhye region is grateful to Grossi for the “albeit somewhat belated” reaction to the shelling of the station, said RIA News Rogov. Local authorities are ready to provide the mission with “immediate access to the facility,” he stressed.

“We are very much looking forward to and interested in stopping the attempts of Ukrainian nationalists to put the world on the brink of a new man-made disaster. We call on the head of the IAEA to stop nuclear terrorism by the Kyiv regime,” Rogov said.

The visit of the IAEA mission to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is currently blocked by Ukraine, as otherwise the world community will learn about the prohibited experiments that were carried out while the facility was under the control of Kyiv, the official assured.
