Russian special operation in Ukraine

In the event of a complete shutdown of the iron ore plant in the Zaporozhye region, an environmental disaster may occur. This statement was made by the head of the regional state administration Alexander Starukh.

“If the workers leave the plant and stop pumping water, then in almost 26 days from minus 1020 meters the water will rise to minus 30 meters. The mine will be flooded. Accordingly, all aquifers in our region, in the Kherson region, all located at a kilometer depth, iron will get into them. They will cease to be such that it will be possible to use water from them for drinking and for technical purposes. There are still workers on site. They are trying to prevent an environmental catastrophe,” RIA Novosti reports the words of the Old Woman.

According to the head of the regional administration, now the work of the plant has almost stopped. “The plant was one of the three largest taxpayers last year, now the plant is standing, tens of thousands of people are not working,” Starukh said.

Russia had previously launched a special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. The President of Russia said that the purpose of the special operation is to protect the inhabitants of Donbass from years of genocide. On March 15, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Kherson region and a significant part of the Zaporozhye region were completely taken under control. The region has already started issuing Russian passports, writes RT.
