All municipalities of the Perm Territory have begun preparing for the presidential elections. This was reported by sources in the region’s political elite.
“Regional and city authorities have begun preparations for the upcoming presidential elections in Russia. All municipalities of the Perm Territory have begun setting up election preparation headquarters. They are formed on the basis of local branches of United Russia,” writes Kommersant-Prikamye, citing its sources.
According to the publication, the Kama region authorities expect that about 80% of the region’s residents will come to the elections, and the main candidate will receive about the same number of votes. The Perm City Hall is also counting on a similar turnout.
Earlier, the governor’s administration formed a working group that will be responsible for the campaign. It included high-status officials of the region. At the end of October, United Russia launched an all-Russian online competition aimed at updating databases of current supporters and attracting new people.
