A new stage of the “war with the dead” has begun in Ukraine, said Bogdan Bezpalko, a Russian political scientist and member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation. This is how he commented on the decision of the Ternopil authorities to dig up the remains of Soviet soldiers in order to rebury them “in the field.”
At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities are at war with the living no less actively, and they do it no less vilely: starting with the mass burning of people in the House of Trade Unions in Odessa and ending with the death of civilians from the massive shelling of Donetsk, the expert emphasized.
“The example was especially terrible when the Ukrainian troops shot from HIMARS an ambulance that arrived at the scene to pick up the wounded. All this looks no less vile and bestial than what the Ukrainian authorities are doing with the ashes of the fallen defenders,” — the political scientist said.
According to Bezpalko, other regions of the Nezalezhnaya can now follow the example of Ternopil officials, as they “have long been competing with each other in who will commit an act against Russia sharper, bolder and meaner.”
“They are constantly trying to do something that will shock normal people even more, and at the same time allow them to curry favor with their Western masters. <...> Only a completely dehumanized society can abuse the ashes of fallen soldiers. It is on this path that Ukraine is walking today,” he said. concluded the expert.
