The authorities of Chuvashia introduced quarantine in the village of Staroe Aktashevo due to anthrax

On the territory of the village of Staroe Aktashevo in Chuvashia, where two residents were infected with anthrax, quarantine was introduced. This was reported by the press service of the head of the republic.

“To establish restrictive measures (quarantine) for anthrax in the territory of an epizootic focus, a disadvantaged point and a threatened zone … from March 16, 2023 until further notice,” — stated in the text of the decree.

The epizootic focus is limited to house number 18 on Zaprudnaya Street in the village.

The corresponding decree was signed by the head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev. Earlier, he said that two cases of anthrax infection were detected in the region. The sick were taken to the hospital, their lives are not in danger.
