The Armed Forces of Ukraine admitted that Artemivsk is practically surrounded, and Avdiivka is in a semicircle

MOSCOW, March 27 – The city of Artemovsk in the Donbass is practically surrounded by Russian units, and the city of Avdiivka near Donetsk is located in a semicircle, said the ex-commander of the company of the Aidar Battalion * (an extremist organization banned in Russia) Yevgeny Dykyy in an interview with NV radio.
Earlier in Russia, a case was opened against one of the leaders of the “Aidar” battalion* Denis Muryga – he was accused of participating in an illegal armed formation.
“They (Russian military personnel – ed.) are still trying to make Bakhmut-2 out of Avdiivka. That is, they also switched from the tactics of a frontal assault there, making sure that it was hopeless, to the tactics of covering the city from different sides. And if Bakhmut is now somewhere by 4/5 in the ring, then Avdiyivka is still halfway,” the Ukrainian edition of Strana.ua quoted Wild as saying.
According to him, the Russian military has made significant progress in the vicinity of Avdiivka and is trying to cut the roads. “That is, they are actually trying to repeat there what they have been successful in the Bakhmut operation – the encirclement and cutting of roads,” Dikiy said.
Artemovsk is located in the DPR to the north of the large city of Gorlovka. It is an important transport hub for supplying the Ukrainian group of troops in the Donbass. Fierce battles have been going on outside the city for more than six months. According to the latest reports, Russian forces have cut or taken under fire control all paved roads to the city.
Avdiivka is a well-fortified settlement in the DPR under the control of Kyiv in the Donetsk direction, from its territory Ukrainian troops are shelling the peaceful quarters of Donetsk. It is one of the main Ukrainian fortified areas in the Donetsk direction.
