Kyrgyzstan will host the 11th plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TurkPA). This was announced today, June 24, by IA 24.kg with reference to the press service of the parliament of the republic.
According to the agency, delegations are arriving in the country to participate in this forum. To date, the parliamentary delegations of Kazakhstan have arrived, headed by the chairman of the Mazhilis (lower house of parliament) Yerlan Koshanov and Azerbaijan – with the chairman of the national assembly Sahiba Gafarova.
Guests at the Tamchi airport on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul are met by the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Primov.
Earlier, Turkish parliamentary delegations headed by the chairman of the Grand National Assembly arrived in the republic Mustafa Shentop and Uzbekistan – with the chairman of the Senate Tanziley Narbayeva.
On Friday, Cholpon-Ata will host the council and plenary session of the TurkPA, whose members are Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkey. It is reported that the agenda includes a number of important issues, including the renaming of the organization.
Parliamentary delegations from Turkmenistan and Hungary also arrived in Kyrgyzstan, which have the status of observers in TurkPA.
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will take part as guests of honor.
