Several tens of thousands of Britons came out to protest in London to express dissatisfaction with the growing economic crisis in the country.
The protest march was organized by the British Congress of Trade Unions. Several prominent political figures appeared at the event, including the deputy head of the Labor Party, Angela Rayner. The live broadcast of the action was launched by the Sky News channel.
The rally participants demand the resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and also insist that the government take more decisive measures to support the population. In particular, in the UK, a drop in real incomes is recorded, as the increase in wages in comparison with the inflation rate turned out to be extremely low.
British railway workers have previously announced a three-day strike. Employees of Network Rail and other railway companies intend not to go to work on June 21, 23 and 25.
