Ten people in Italy have died of West Nile fever


Over the past week, the number of newly diagnosed cases of West Nile fever in Italy has increased by one and a half times, the national higher institute of health reported on August 11.

The total number of infected since the beginning of summer is 144 people. 10 people have died, including three in the last seven days.

In most cases, West Nile fever is detected in the inhabitants of Italy in a neuro-invasive form.
