Iran has vehemently criticized the latest sanctions imposed by U.S. administration, labeling them as “completely illogical” and in violation of international rules and standards.

Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the measures while Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dismissed the possibility of negotiations with U.S. citing past broken promises.

Sanctions reinstated by the Trump administration during its second term, target Iran’s oil network, several companies, ships, and individuals.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bagheri addressed the media on Friday, stating that the sanctions are part of a U.S. strategy to halt Iran’s oil exports to China. He emphasized that such measures are unjust and counterproductive.
Ayatollah Khamenei referenced the 2015 nuclear deal, highlighting that U.S. withdrew from the agreement and failed to lift sanctions as promised.

He asserted that Tehran sees no benefit in negotiating with U.S. given its history of reneging on commitments. Khamenei also criticized U.S. for its approach, stating that such behavior undermines trust and dialogue.
