WASHINGTON, 14 Feb – It is impossible to unequivocally assure Americans of security in connection with the “threat” voiced to Congress, but US President Joe Biden can handle it, said his national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
This is how Biden’s national security adviser responded to a question about whether he could tell Americans that they have nothing to worry about.
The House Intelligence Committee previously alerted all members of Congress of the “serious threat to national security” and called on US President Joe Biden to declassify information on this matter so that Americans and their allies can openly discuss responses. Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan said he would personally brief the leaders of the US Congress on this issue on Thursday.
In recent weeks, the question of the mental abilities of the 81-year-old Biden, in addition to the traditional forgetfulness exhibited by an American leader, has again become acute; he was called “an elderly man with a poor memory” in the report of the government special counsel who investigated the improper storage of classified documents by the US President.
