Switzerland announced the blocking of Russian assets for 7.5 billion dollars

Switzerland blocked Russian assets worth $7.5 billion. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy of the country, reports RIA Novosti.

Earlier it was reported that Credit Suisse blocked 17.6 billion francs (more than $19 billion), while 4 billion belong to individuals and organizations from the Swiss sanctions list, and the remaining 13.6 billion, according to Western media, are the property of individuals under the sanctions of other countries.

In 2022, Switzerland joined all EU sanctions against Russia, and also suspended the simplified issuance of visas for Russians. The country’s government has decided to completely suspend the agreement with Russia on the facilitated procedure for issuing visas.
