In the Sverdlovsk region, due to the unfavorable situation due to measles, restrictions are being introduced. The resolution was signed by the regional deputy chief state sanitary doctor Anzhelika Ponomareva.

“Introduce restrictive measures for measles in the Sverdlovsk region from June 2, 2023 until further notice,” the document posted on the website of the Sverdlovsk Rospotrebnadzor says. They include temporary denial of employment in medical, educational and recreational institutions. It is also allowed to refuse planned hospitalization and admission of patients who had contact with people in the outbreak of measles.

Since the beginning of 2023, 119 cases of measles have been reported. About 60% of the sick are foreign citizens and children from migrant families, more than 90% were not vaccinated against a deadly infection. Cases of the disease were recorded in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Yekaterinburg, Berezovsky, Serovsky, Kamensky, Shali urban districts, Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Irbit and Pervouralsk.

Earlier it became known that cases of measles were recorded on Tekhnicheskaya Street in Yekaterinburg. Also in early April, the sick were found at Sorting. At the same time, there is no vaccine either in municipal or private clinics.
