Fires in the Sverdlovsk region
The fire situation in the forests of the Sverdlovsk region will improve from October 2 after the rains in the region. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk Region.
“Due to the rains that have occurred and are predicted in most areas of the Sverdlovsk region, stabilization of the forest fire situation is predicted. In certain areas where high and extreme fire danger remains, isolated outbreaks of natural fires are predicted,” says a message on the official website of the department.
In the Sverdlovsk region, a state of emergency was reintroduced on September 26 due to forest fires. The decree was signed by the regional governor Evgeny Kuyvashev. Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Denis Mamontov has been appointed responsible for eliminating the emergency situation in the Sverdlovsk region.
