The starting lineup for Nigeria’s national team’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Guinea-Bissau at the Estadio Nacional 24 de Setembro has been released by manager Jose Peseiro.
The Portuguese football tactician has made five changes to the lineup following last Friday’s shocking loss to the African wild wolves at the National Stadium in Abuja.

Kenneth Omeruo, a former Chelsea player, starts for the Super Eagles for the first time in 428 days. In addition, Kevin Akpoguma and Calvin Bassey are replaced by Semi Ajayi, a former Arsenal U21 captain.
Tuesday’s tactical session began with Omeruo and Ajayi being paired in center defense to assess how well they get along.
The Super Eagles’ backline is completed by Zaidu Sanusi and Bright-Osayi-Samuel, with the Porto player playing left back and the Fenerbahce star filling in at right back.
Alex Iwobi, a Hale End Academy graduate for Arsenal, is listed in the midfield along with Frank Onyeka of Brentford, Samuel Chuwueze of Villlarreal, and Moses Simon of Nantes.
The attack will be led by Victor Osimhen, who is assisted by Terem Moffi.
