The Marathon of Digital Chairs will be held in the Moscow region until March 31. On it, students and applicants of the region will be able to learn how to get a diploma in an IT specialty for free. This was reported in the Ministry of State Administration of the region.
The head of the ministry, Nadezhda Kurtyanik, said that digital departments appeared in universities last year. More than 100 educational institutions from all over Russia take part in the project.
“More than 100 educational organizations across the country are participating in the project, more than 110 thousand people are enrolled in training programs. Education at the digital department is a great opportunity to master the IT profession in parallel with the main specialty,” she said.
Students of different directions can become a participant of the program. The training will last from nine to 22 months and will include internships in IT companies. Participants will gain knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, application development and robotics.
“Representatives of IT companies from the Moscow region can join the work of digital departments. The organizers invite them to share their knowledge and skills with students,” said Nadezhda Kurtyanik.

Earlier, Governor Andrei Vorobyov approved the idea of creating a new channel for receiving initiatives. In his opinion, this will help to build a more perfect system of governance in the region.
