Further strengthening of relations with the countries of the Islamic world is among the priorities of Russian foreign policy. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, speaking today, March 6, at a meeting of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group.
“Russia, the largest Eurasian power, state, civilization, maintains good, honest, mutually respectful relations with the countries of the Islamic world. Their [отношений] further strengthening among the invariable priorities of domestic foreign policy”, he noted.
Lavrov pointed out that Russia “together with friends from Muslim states stands for the formation of a more just, democratic multipolar world order based on the principles of the UN Charter.”
“We reject the ultra-liberal values aggressively imposed by the collective West,” – added the minister, whose words are quoted by TASS.
