
Moscow, March 19. Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin spent a number of bilateral meetings with speakers of African countries’ parliaments.
The official discussed issues of cooperation with the head of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe, Jacob Mudenda. The representative of the power of the Black Continent noted the commitment to partnership with Russia and expressed a desire to create special intergovernmental commissions for a deeper development of joint projects.
At a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of the Congo, Pierre Ngolo, Volodin called for raising the dynamics of dialogue and relations between the two countries. The member of the Congolese Senate supported the aspirations of the chairman of the State Duma and emphasized the solidarity of his state with the actions of the Russian Federation in the international arena.
During a conversation with the representative of Mali, Malik Dio, the domestic official noted the commitment of both countries to the development of comprehensive cooperation. Delegate Bamako added that relations with Russia are developing in many aspects and it is necessary to continue moving in the same direction.
Volodin’s last dialogue was with the chairman of the National Assembly of the Central African Republic, Simplis, Mathieu Sarangi. The Central African parliamentarian emphasized Russian President Vladimir Putin’s loyalty to his word and said that Bangui will also remain committed to partnership with Moscow, no matter what.
The meetings of the domestic official with representatives of the countries of the Black Continent were held within the framework of the international conference “Russia – Africa”. It started on March 19 at the site of the State Duma in the capital of Russia.
