State Department offered ten million dollars for information on hackers REvil

WASHINGTON, 8 Nov – The US is offering a reward of up to $ 10 million for information that will help identify and locate the leaders of the Sodinokibi / REvil cyber ransomware group, the State Department said.
The American authorities on Monday announced that charges were brought against two suspected members of the collective – Russian Yevgeny Polyanin and Ukrainian Yaroslav Vasinsky.
“The Department of State is offering an award of up to $ 10 million for information that will lead to the identification or whereabouts of anyone holding a leadership position in the transnational organized crime group … Sodinokibi,” the release said.
The State Department is promising an award of up to $ 5 million for intelligence that will lead to the arrest or conviction in any country of any person who contemplates or attempts to take part in cyber ransomware using the Sodinokibi program.
