Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez arrived in Ukraine

Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez arrived in Kyiv on a visit. The press service of the Spanish government reported that Mr. Sanchez will hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“I am returning to Kyiv a year after the start of the war. We will support Ukraine and its people until peace returns to Europe,” Mr. Sanchez wrote on his Twitter page and posted a video from the station.

As the press service of the Spanish government clarified, upon arrival in Kiev, Mr. Sanchez was received by Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andriy Melnyk, Ukrainian Ambassador to Madrid Serhiy Pohoreltsev and Spanish Ambassador to Ukraine Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Haga. According to information El Espanolduring his visit, the prime minister also visited Bucha and Irpen.

US President Joe Biden also arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit on February 20. The next day, Prime Minister of Italy George Meloni visited the Ukrainian capital.
