South Korea, US and Japan to conduct ballistic missile interception exercises

In August, South Korea, the United States and Japan plan to conduct joint military exercises to intercept Pacific Dragon ballistic missiles off the Hawaiian Islands. It is reported by Yonhap News.

It is expected that the exercises will be held from 1 to 14 August.

It is known that the corresponding decision was made during a tripartite meeting of the Minister of Defense of South Korea Lee Jong subUS Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishiheld on June 11 in Singapore.

Canada and Australia will also join the exercise this year.

It is reported that the exercise “Pacific Dragon” is planned as part of the international maritime exercise RIMPAC, which will be held from June 29 to August 4.
